    Building a Rack
Hey all! I was talking to my cousin about building me a rack, but he was asking me questions that I honestly don't know the answer to lol. When it comes to tubs is a 34.75''L x 16.5''W x 6''H a good side for a full size ball? Also do most people use lights or under container heating for tubs? It would seem like it would take a lot of plug space for either lol. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!

Really love the look of this rack, looks like it uses lights... what do you guys think?

I suggest flexwatt for belly heat in racks (with a proper thermostat of course). I'd check out the DIY forum here and look through the threads, there are literally hundreds of threads on homemade racks...

The big thing to understand about racks is they are very sensitive to room temps. Typically they need 78 at the low end and 83 on the high end. Outside of this they often have issues and need to be specifically designed for it.

I don't think there are lights I think it is just a flash from the camera. I suppose you could use LED lighting although I don't see any point to it. Racks are about functionality and not much else.

I actually am having my cousin's boyfriend price it out for me. He has made furniture in the past, nice stuff actually, so I gave him some pictures. I told him I would handle the heating and tubs, but he's gonna see what it would cost to put together the rack. This is the one I asked him for...

Only difference is that I asked for it to just fit the large tubs and to have two doors on the bottom that open out instead of folding down.
