It's on the high side, but if it's all you can find, it's all you can find.
9 months is not old for ASFs at all. And if the female is pregnant, the deal seems much better. Ask if she's been bred before, too.

It would be better if you could get more females, but like i said, if it's all you can get, it's all you can get. I know it's harder to find ASFs once you leave the east coast.

Seller says she has had a couple litters but she bites.

Well if she's a good breeder, and you're willing to pay, then let her have her litter, wean them, then cull the mother as soon as they're weaned. Mess with the weanlings all the time, and they'll be much less inclined to bite. Then you'll have better non-aggressive stock to work with.

25$ ouch, we get them for $2-$3 locally but I'm sure it's all about location location location :)

    Location, and quality/purpose.

They're rare here in Virginia, and i mostly sell for pets in rare colorations, so I get $10 per animal normally. Sometime I do $10 for females, and $5 for males.

I get backed up sometimes, but about 2 times a year someone cleans me out in a major way and I make some good money on them.

There's a show in PA coming up, and I'm sold out already. All of my animals are reserved!

Buy 'em, sell 'em, be the ASF master, make some dough. ;D

If I was selling at $25 a piece, shoo-eeeee, I'd buy my rats a fancy steak dinner. :D

$25 for two is way too much. I've seen them for as little as $1.50 and up to $3 each, depending upon size. Keep looking.

I normally sell them for $1-$3 but do sell pregnant females occasionally for $10. I agree that $25 is a bit much for a 1.1 pair, but if it's a one time purchase to start a breeding group it shouldn't matter too much.
