i found a snake in my basement but have no idea what it is. i live in upstate ny. its just a baby about 8" long. hes all black with grey bands.
Can you post a picture? Black rat snake maybe?
Based on desription only, I'm guessing Northern Water Snake. Need a pic to be sure.
i was wondering about a water snake but i only have a creek near my house.
