Breeding/timing question

I'm reading in a lot of posts that it's breeding season. My question is this: If you breed a snake now, when will the eggs be laid/hatch? Is this last winter's breeding that produced all the new hatchlings that are around?

Not trying to breed or anything, I don't even have a BP. Just curious! I mean, if you won't get hatchlings til next spring, you would need a lot of patience!

All depends on when she ovulates. It's all up to HER. Ya just keep breeding her until she does, IF she does. Yep, patience is a virtue. :gj:

That cannot be answered, because a female is paired does not mean she will lay egg either ;), the only timeline is the following.

Ovulation
About 14 days after ovulation: Pre-Lay Shed
About 30 days after pre-lay shed: Egg laying

So on average a female will lay her eggs about 44/45 days after ovulation sometimes a little more.
