Wanting to show off my little rat house.
This is my 1.2 setup. They are all asleep.

Poking their noses out wondering who is making all the noise.

Those two bowls are gone now, got tired of adding water 3 times a day because they covered it with bedding, yeah and kept burying their food.

    Thanks for looking.

I will add that the food basket will be moved to the center of the cage. Right now the crumbs go everywhere. Really sucks actually.

I guess I'll throw a question in here. Is that one water bottle enough for 3 rats? They do sometimes "push" each other to drink. Should I add another or let them learn patience?

IMO, I don't think it matters. If you wanted to provide another small water bottle it wouldn't hurt. :)

Alright, I will wait and see how they do. I do need to add some sort of entertainment in there. Throw something on the top floor they can play with.

I would think that the steel mesh hurts their feet no? That stuff can be kind of sharp.

Spent about 8 hours, bending and smoothing it out. I have thought about using a ferret cage. Though their babies are going to be food, I dont have the heart to cram them into a little boring tub.

My rat Lucky lives in it now, and after his roomate is quarantined for a bit they'll be living together :)
