    Seeking Het Pied knowledge from the experienced or well informed...
    Hello everyone i have a "0.1 Spider het pied" & also a "1.0 Pastel het pied" sold as at least..My concerns are how do i know for sure they are what they where sold as!! From another forum this gent was speaking of "markers" on the het...Whaat does this mean? Visual of the pied as a pied mark!!!PLease help i have a 1.0 Piebald that i would like to breed to here & i dont wanna end up with all het pieds & no visual pied & also my english is very poor so try to keep it simple please i dont have a college degree,or simular!Thankyou in advance!!

    Markers are not 100% reliable there are het pied with markers there are some without, there are also normals with markers very similar to the pied markers.

    An animal should never be bought based on the presence or markers.

    Now how do you know whether or not the animal you bought is indeed a Het Pied or any other type of het for that matter? By buying from a REPUTABLE breeder that stands by his animals and will guarantee the genetics. :gj: (Those are the real markers ;))

    Markers are not exact. You will have to breed them to prove if they are actually het pied. Good luck :)

    Well there our local reptile store & i get along fine with all & they seem quite foward & honest...but what i fear is the wait that i have until im able to find out what's in hands....

    If they are reputable people, check around about them and things, then you are probably ok :gj:

    Just remember, hitting a pied will only be a 25% chance each egg each time, so if you dont hit it the first year, try again.
