BP and his Set Up. 4 pics kinda big
    Hi,
I just wanted to share my set up. I started with a 10 gallon aquarium but he always seemed stressed in it so I researched and ever since switching to a plastic container he has really be alot better off. I only have to mist 1 time a month and the humidity stays 55-60% unless I want to increase it, and hols the temps really well. I honestly never have to fuss with it.
1 x 41 qt Plastic Rubbermaid Bin ($12 at target)
I used a sodering iron to makes the holes ($10 at walmart)
1 accurite digital thermometer ($15 at walmart)
    Aspen Bedding from PetCo
Half log hide is half over the UTH and half not, plant is on the cool side
Left cave hide is cool side right is warm side (4 dollars each from petmountain.com)
    water dish
With these long plastic tubs the locks are on the far sides so there is nothing to stop your snake from pushing up in the middle so I use butterfly clips there to hold it down. I dont think he would be able to escape but probably get his head stuck and hurt or killed if it wasnt clipped down.
I have a UTh under there but I will be buying a better, larger one soon.
and I am currently using a hydrofarm digital thermostat from amazon. They are cheap but it has been working great for me. keep its withing 2 degrees + or - has been working great if money is an issue.

I looked at Walmart for that thermometer (that everyone seems to be using) but couldn't find it. What section did you find it in?

I think Acu-Rite discontinued that model. I haven't seen anymore around my area for some time now. If they still have them in stock, Wal-Mart will have them in th Hardware section. Lowes and Home Depot would have them in the Outdoors section. You may be able to still find them online. It is the Acu-Rite 00891.

lol, I spent 10 dollars on 106 qrt sterilite tubes and they seem big enough for the big and small enough for the small. to drill holes I use a my stepdad's drill!

Very nice set up. Who needs an aquarium, looks like he should be quite comfortable living in there :gj:
