Depending how many watts the thermostat can control, I'm sure it would be just fine. I would try to find out how many watts it can control first before hooking it up to the heater.

The web site reads that it is the same as the etc 111000 but is corrosive resistant the etc 111000 has a max output of 1500 watts so as long as its wired to handle the watts (16 ga) it would be fine

Thing to watch out for is the amount of wattage the thing pulls on start-up.

I would either run it on a lower setting being in an incubator anyways, or skip a power strip and plug the heater right into it or wire in an extension cord without the power strip if that makes sense

Depending on incubators size, medium setting is about all you should need. I have mine in a room that wont be as insulated as an incubator on Medium. Medium setting is 750 watts so the thermostat will handle it easy.

Have mine set at 78 for a 80 room temp with fan circulating it back down.

I just did a thread on here last week with the same issue. I was looking for a thermostat to handle more watts for my walk in incubator. I have been using a johnsons thermostat and its been fine but i have made the walk in incubator bigger to handle even more clutches. I talked to rich at reptile basics and the johnsons were the highest rated thermostats on the market i could find. But heres another thing i figured out. You dont need to have the oil heater on the 1500 watt setting. Mine has a 900 and a 1500 setting. It works fine for a 6 ft by 8 foot walk in incubator. Temps stay at 89 and if there is a flucuation its only like 1 to 2 degrees at best which is fine.

I've had two of them (Rancos) running as backups on oil heaters for a few days now.
