    Cleaning Tub
I've been cleaning the tub once a week for my 1.3. My question is what do I do when they have a litter? Do I move them all to a temp tub and put all new substrate in? I'm hoping that someone is pregnant by now, I got them 5 weeks ago.

    Thanks

Just clean around the nest, they'll be fine. :)

    ^^^Ditto :)

When my female rat has her pups with a nest going, I just take out the used bedding around the nest and replace with new. When they need a full tub cleaning I take everyone out, clean, replace bedding, and place them all back in. The female creates another nest in no time. But you also don't want to constantly ruin her nest so she has to make another every single time.

I use a shop vac and an old car license plate....

I use the license plate to scrape the crap off the bottom, and also to scoot the rats to one side or the other while I vaccuume out the other side. When there are babies i scoot them to the corner and shield them with the license plate. this allows me to suck up everything except the substrate directly under them.

It takes me about an hour once a week to clean everything... and I have a lot.
