    Close call!
I got Jackson a new UTH this morning, and I put my hand in the tank to check that it was heating up nicely. I volunteer at the food bank, and LOTS of the cans have- erm.. rat droppings on them, so I was cleaning cans. So, I put the back of my hand against the bottom of the tank without a second thought. When I'm satisfied with the way the temp is rising, I bend over to peek at Jackson in his hide- and he is coiled in striking position! Another second and I would have had my first bite! What an idiot...

Now he's out searching his tank... I just fed him on Friday, the little piggy...
