How soon can ASF get pregnant after having litter
So I got my asf breeding in my rack. Had them 1.1 because didn't have many to start with. Its going good now. I went to clean, feed, water them today. The one tub the mom had 16 pinks all lived and eyes opened few days ago. I pulled the male out the tub few days after she gave birth because the mom beat the crap out of him. He have flesh missing from his side it was nasty looking. He made it and is now in with 3 girls trying to get them pregnant. So when I went to check on her and the now hoppers I noticed something pink/red under them, I pulled there hide off and started to move the 16 hoppers. And what do I find PINKIES 10 of them, what the hell. Mom and her 16 hoppers and 10 pinkies in there how is possible??? I noticed that another one of my females is as big as a cow but I left the male in with her and the 14 hoppers. Can they kick babies out that fast???

They can get pregnant very soon after giving birth. Next day i belive.. If not just a few days. U really should try not to move ur males arround though. Its better to leave them in 1.3-1.4 and the males in the entire times. If ur moving males arround it might be why they are getting beat up

ASFs can get pregnant right after they're finished giving birth basically. The males will almost always try to mate with the females right after they birth a litter. And since ASFs grow very slowly, I almost always have juveniles/hoppers and pinkies in the same nests together.

Ans simplex is correct, don't move your males around.

That was the first time I ever moved a male. Just didn't want him to die. He was in really bad shape when we pulled him out. Didn't think he would even live through it. But he did.

Mice,Rats and ASF can become pregnant again within hours of giving birth and therefore can give birth again within 21-24 days after the previous litter.

Is it ok to breed them like that? Does it cause any health problems?

I leave males and females together all the time. The male might have been trying to harm the litter

With mice and rats it can be stressfull if done over and over back to back.

With ASFs, there seems to be no negative effect what-so-ever, and this is one of two reasons they are becoming a favored feeder rodent. The other reason, being litter size. ;)

    If you really must know...

I have seen a female give birth to a baby... The male immediately push that baby out of the way and start to do his thing... Then the female ran to the other side of tub to deliver another baby... And again the male did the same thing. 21 days later there was a whole nother round of babies from that same mom.
