    Shedding or not???
My baby BP's eyes were pretty cloudy a few days ago, and I thought for sure he was going into shed. But yesterday and today, his skin isn't nearly as faded as it looked a few days ago and his eyes are back to their darker hue.

I'm worried now because maybe the faded eye color was something else?

Also, is it best to wait until he sheds to feed him? It's been 8 days since his last meal. I'm also dealing with mites at the moment, so I'm not sure if I should feed him or not.

Right before my snakes shed their eyes go back to normal and their skin doesn't look too faded. Just wait it out. YOur snake is at the last stage of the shed. As for feeding some of mine will eat during a shed and some won't My advise is stick to your feeding schedule. If you feed one a week only offer food once a week. If they don't take it wait another week etc.

Now for your mites I do not know. I have never dealt with mites (Knock on wood). Hopefully someone else will chime in on that.

I think I have the mite situation under control. I wasn't sure if I should try to feed but I think I will offer it some this morning.

I also forgot that I did not leave something in the viv to help him shed, because I removed all the hides and stuff to disinfect and bake in the oven. I suppose I'll have to re-do it for one hide at least, just so he has something to run against.
