    flew watt heat tape and glass
    this might sound like a stupid question but i was wondering if i could use flex watt on glass i cant find any answers on this question thanks shawn

    Hey Shawn,
    Yes you can, just use some foil tape and just tape the edges of the Flexwatt. Do not cover all the Flexwatt. And with any UTH, always use a thermostate. If this on the bottom of a tank, you may want to file or grind down a small spot on the bottom of the frame for the cord to come out so the frame does not sit on the cord.

    yes it did i have some and wanted to use it instead of buying a new heating pad thanks again

    The biggest problem if you are using it on the bottom of a tank is it sags quite badly and generates a kinda odd uneven heating area. I have one tank with it but I worry about cracking.

    I don't have any ideas for a solution myself... yet anyway.
