    Housing balls together
I was once again looking for advice. I've heard a lot of things and was wanting to settle this argument. Can you house ball pythons together?

No you should not house them together. Ball pythons are not social animals and live by them selves in the wild. So they should live by them elves in captivity. If you house more then one together a lot of people think they cuddle. This is not cuddling but fighting for the better spot.

If you search "housing together" there are so many debates on this. You can but it's not at the best interest of the snakes. Especially for inexperienced owners, it's always best for them to have their very own separate enclosures. Also no contact to eachother at all, strictly washing your hands between handling for at like 60-90 days during quarantine anytime you get a new snake.

The cons severely outweigh the pros in every way IMO.

in my opinion: if theyre the same size, and theres ALOT of hides and "brush" stuff, that would make it less risky. BUT, if one gets sick, they both do, and there is still always the risk of cannibalism, it does happen. ive seen pictures of bp's that have eaten other bp's that were bigger than them, so you might be amazed (like i was) when you see what these guys can really put down. it also might help if they were both younger, not babies though, make sure theyve been eating for i'd say at least six months. and if theyre together, you would have to keep them well fed, they might be less prone to decide to eat the first thing they see (the other snake) the second they get hungry. this is all just my opinion. i did succesfully house two bp's together (for a while), but unfortunatly the newer one i introduced past shortly after. so then i housed a cali king in with the other bp (we litteraly found him right on my doorstep as a baby), since i had no other place to put him. and they did "fine" together, probably not all that happy, but most of the time i would find them wrapped around eachother (there were no signs of aggression, they would always be loosly wrapped), they lived together for about three years then i found the kingsnake crushed underneath the wood hut with my bp curled in a ball sitting on top of it:(
