Help!! What Morph is this?

Hey guys,

I recently picked up this ball python in my area from someone who knew nothing about them and was only taking it in as a favor. He was told by the vet that it was most likely a pastel, however, owning and being around pastels a lot I find it very hard to believe that is the case. He is 900 grams empty and my initial thought is that he is a Vanilla, however I can only find a few pictures of full grown Vanillas online, the rest being hatchling photos. Sorry for the crappy photos, the ball pythons weren't too fond of the light tent and seemed only interested in getting out of it, so they were constantly on the move. The first picture is the guy in question and the second is him next to my 800 gram het albino. Please let me know what you guys think!!

I think he is way too light be considered a black pastel. I have seen more than a few normals that look similar to him. I'd say normal until proven out. Either way he is a gorgeous animals and looks worth messing with if you have some patience. Nice pickup.

Nah.. More like from het red/Green pastel/Lace complex....

But with This faded head and head spot light.... over all coloration and flames.. It looks vanilla-ish...

Definitely not a black pastel. I can somewhat see a little vanilla, although I admit I know practically nothing of the vanilla gene. Until proven otherwise, I'm gunna say a really light normal. I have a light normal/dinker female that looks a lot him.

Thanks for the input guys! I'm still wondering what he has going on with him, his markings are extremely similar to a cinnamon or black pastel however the color is way too light to be either of those. My other thought would be cinnamon or black pastel crossed with something else, however I would think any double codom mutation with the guy would be more drastic like a how cinnamon/lesser or cinnamon/mojave looks. I always considered the possibility of him being a normal, which is just terribly sad because I would really love to be able to combine his color and markings with other morphs.

Pick up a fire female and breed him to that. If you get white snakes, he's a fire, if you get vanilla creams, you've got a vanilla. If you just get fires, you either missed the odds, or he's just a normal.

Our local reptile expo is next Sunday and Ive actually been planning on a fire female for that reason. Plus a fire female won't hurt my collection lol.

Or throw it to Mojave.. and If you get Crystals... He is SPECIAL

I was just looking on Specials on WOBP... and see a lot of similarities... I dont have any experiences with Specials.. I know Heather was dealing with this morph... so... maybe She could Chip in ;)
