6qt or 12qt tubs for hatchlings
has anyone used 12 quart tubs for their hatchlings? if so do the ones in 12 quart tubs feed just as good as the ones in 6qt tubs?(assuming that they have 2 identical hides one on each side in both tubs)

I've mostly used 6qt tubs for babies, and move up to a 15qt at around 300-400g... they have all been good feeders, so I guess that size works okay! They'd probably do fine in a 12qt, though, especially if you "clutter" it up (2 hides, maybe some crumpled paper, etc).

if your racking is really dark then you dont really need 2 hides they should still feed the same either way

I use 6qt with aspen bedding and put crumpled newspaper in the tubs to fill in the space. So far I have had really good luck with them eating within a day or two of being in their own tubs.
