Eco Earth Digestion

Hey just a quick thought about Eco Earth coconut husk Substrate. Has anyone had an issue with it when feeding a snake. I had a little more than normal stuck to a rat and was wondering if it would cause any issues with digestion. I dont think so but thought it would ask:)

I have have a very poor aim snake he often eats some eco earth. I have never had a problem with it. I have had issues with wood chip ingestion however.

It holds humidity quite well to. I have never used it with BP but I have used it when I use to keep venomous stuff a few years ago and never had any problems with it.

I haven't had a problem with it and I use it with all of my reps. It's not digestible but they pass it with no problems. If you see one eating and you feel like there's too much on the prey just wipe it off or feed in a separate bin.

Like others have said, it shouldn't be a problem. It's so fine that it will pass. There are parts of a rodent that aren't digested either but it gets passed, like the fur. Large chunks of wood bedding that get eaten can cause more of a problem than eco earth because it may not break down enough to pass without causing internal damage but this usually isn't a problem either since the snake doesn't leave much room between it's mouth and the rodent for big enough chunks to get in the mouth.

That is kinda what I thought but I just wanted to check and make sure. As for feeding in a seperate tank we had one of ours go off feed and he waant eating at all so I few a small mouse in his enclosure. I think he just likes mice better but will have to test that theory out. My latest addition is still in QT and well it was jsut a lot easier to feed in her enclosure that is what she is used to:P
