    Can I mist Eco Earth?
It's been a couple days since I put it in my BP's tank and it has totally dried out. Should I mist it to keep it a little damp or leave it the way it is?

I would only mist it if the humidity is below 50%. It's okay to mist eco-earth. It will hold moisture pretty well. If it was all damp when you first put it in then the top will probably be dry and underneath will still be moist.

WE mist ours once a week as needed for humidity so if your humidity is fine no need to mist :) So what is your humidity at? I only mist when my humidity hits 55% which is about once a week and spot clean daily change once a month.

The humidity was perfect when I first put it in but now it has dropped down to 46. My concern with misting it would be scale rot or I heard sometimes they can get respiratory infections when misting? I'm new at this so I'm not entirely sure.

If I could ask what are you using for an enclosure. I am using an aquarium and I solved most of my humidity problems with a peice of Plexi with a few hole in it:P

If you wanna hold humidity in put a few towels over the screen lid... Cheap and easy fix :D

It's a 40 gallon breeder. I even did the whole tinfoil/duct tape thing on the lid to try and trap in some humidity. Since I misted the bedding a little it seems to have bumped it up a little so maybe that was the trick lol.

I also mist mine when needed. I do remove the snake when misting. Not sure if that is necessary, but I do. You can also just add some water (usually what's left in the small spray bottle) and stir it around to help bump humidity. You could also try a larger water dish, if that doesn't help move it under the heat lamp. I like the eco earth and we haven't had any humidity problems. :gj:
