    is it normal for my ball python to burrow under the bedding in his terrarium? i have 3 other bps and i have never seen any of them do this before:snake:

    yes it is normal. I have some that burrow and some that don't. Its just what makes the bp feel more secure. Remember a hiding BP is a happy BP!! :P

    One of mine loves to burrow under his water dish no mater what we do he is under his dish :) he just likes it there:)

    mine sometimes even likes to hide under the paper towels, she loves her hide but she occasionally wanders off and I'd see a bulged area and I would know it's her hiding there lol.

    It is completely normal for your snake to do this. I keep my bp's in tubs in a rack system and my male normal always burrows under the unprinted newspaper in his tub. I have a hide in there but he rarely uses it.

    Pretty much all of mine do, including my boa. That's why it's so important that the hottest point in the enclosure (which is the bottom, glass or plastic, right above the UTH) is 88-92. Mine would all have burns if I didn't have thermostats....
