Is there any real difference between the aspen marketed for small furry animals and the aspen marketed for reptiles?

Reptile stuff is finer and more expensive. Besides that, not much difference. I use rodent aspen for my snake.

i ussually get a no name brand from my local reptile store. Look for ones that have no brand, i compared it with name brand stuff and they were identical. saved myself 3.25 on a large bag :)

    Thanks!
I've always used the reptile aspen because the rodent kind had huge chunks in it, but today I saw a new brand of rodent aspen with much smaller pieces (still bigger than the reptile aspen, but not huge). For three times as much aspen at half the price I'll definitely go with the rodent aspen!

I jus get the rodent aspen bedding from walmart. It always works great and is cheap. Jus don't use ceder! The oils harm the snake and cause respotiry infections.
