2007 male pinstripe?

Since I am still new to all this... I am not sure what is worth what lol. I saw an ad today for a 2007 male pinstripe, proven breeder, 950 grams for $200. Is that a decent price? What morphs can be achieved with a pinstripe male?

For a single allele common dominate gene male? Yeah I'd say that's about right.

Basically if you breed your male Pin to a normal female each egg with have a 50% chance of being a Pin or being normal.

If you breed you male Pin to another dom or co-dom morph each egg with have a 25% chance of either being normal, a Pin, the other morph, or a combination of both the Pin and other morph.

There is also a cinnamon male for 175. Is that a better price because the gene is co-dominant?

Single allele Dominate and Co-dom morphs are pretty much the same. The only deference between the two is that if you get 2 copies of the co-dom allele it will be visually expressed by a super form (ex: Super Pastel, Super Cinnamon) where as if you get two copies of a dominate morph it would look the same as if it only had one.

So for the market price it comes down to how common the morph is and how much demand there is for it.

Looking around the market it looks like Cinnamons are going for about $25-50 less than Pins, so again, the prices you listed seem pretty typical.

Okay. I got a little more info on the cinnamon, just cause I was curious lol. He is a proven breeder, 3 years old, approx 800 grams, and possible het pied, but they have never attempted to breed the trait out to prove it. Would that change matters on his value? I am always just keeping an eye open for a possible good deal to begin a breeding program. Slowly! lol

No, this should not affect his value since it is not proven. He should be priced just as a proven breeder (although this really doesn't add much, maybe $50 more than a hatchling) Cinnamon male.

Alright. Is there anywhere to go to look at what certain morphs are being sold for? I feel silly always asking here lol.
