    Back after a long time.
    Hey everyone,

So I've all sorts of reptiles for about 7 years. I had to sell of my collection a couple years ago and have been missing it ever since. I've finally had the opportunity to get back into the hobby and decided to focus just on Balls. I just ordered myself a 3-tub AP CB70 rack, and a Herpstat ND to get myself started up. Now just have to wait the five weeks or so to get the rack. I'm thinking on hitting up the New York expo in November to get my first addition. Probably have $300-350 to work with max, any suggestions for some cool morphs?

You can't go wrong with ghosts, a male ghost was my first, and I picked him up for 125 at an expo.

That, and maybe some pastels and a spider. Depends on what you want really.

welcome back! IMO I would go with a pastel and a spider. You can probably pick up both of these for $350.00 bucks and you will have a breeding pair that will make you bumblebees in the future. Just a thought :)

If your looking to pick up just to have a cool looking ball python, you can pick up a mojave for around the same price - and IMO are better looking too. :P

    Cheers.

Thanks everyone, I'm feeling the Ghost X Pastel cross. I really like BumbleBees, but two snakes would be better than one! I know that genetically it should make no difference, but is their any preference as to which should be male and female? Thanks.

I'm not too sure. Me personally.. I would find the cheapest combination LOL. If the female pastels are $150 each and female spiders are $200 each but the males are $125 for both pastel and spiders (hypothetical prices) - than get a female pastel and a male spider. That's how I would do it but I'm not sure if theres a male:female genetic advantage. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can comment on that.

    Cheers.
