    tarantula identifiers!!!
    a friend of mine that lives near Fountain Hills, Arizona caught me a large (5''-6'' legspan) tarantula by his house.
    dunno what it is but im guessing adult male Aphonopelma Chalcodes???

    its definitely an adult male.has the tibial spurs and clubbed pedipalps.
    wheres all the tarantula ogs at?

    Sorry but I suck at identifying tarantulas :oops: It is more then likely some sort of Aphonopelma species but what one, I have no idea :confused: Some of the Aphonopelma mature males will turn black. Sorry I couldn't of been more help to you :(

    jk but yeah nobody on any forum can id it.its just an aphonopelma spp at this point.
    im torn though,i want to let it to go free where it was found so it can go make some behbehs but the dude who brought this to me wont just set it free,he'll just go sell it again.lamesauce all over the place.

    I'm gonna second your thought Mark, about 89% sold on a mature male Aphonopelma chalcodes. The area fits and so do the looks, from the pictures I've seen of males.

    i didnt find it, a coworker that lives in fountain hills did.
    i would love to take it back if i could hop in my car and drive an hour and 50 miles and find a proper area.but i am mobiless at the moment and the dude i got him from that lives out there i believe will just turn around and sell him to someone that just drops $70 on whatever t he finds instead of the freedom thing.that same guy is gonna catch me a female and if he doesnt by friday ill find a shipper.maybe, if theyre available.(tab open google!!)if all goes through Barry White and wine will be ensue.and after that no buisiness with that fella out there anymore.
