Has anyone else noticed their BP being almost ticklish? A light touch to my girl's side/belly always makes her squirm more then any other type of petting.

Re: Ticklish snakes
Yes, my female BP is very ticklish. If i rub her anywhere on the lower sides or anywhere on her belly, she reacts strongly. I find it very funny. My other snakes (1 northern pine snake, 1 boa) don't react at all on the lower sides, but they do react slightly (and sometimes not at all) to the same thing on the belly.
Trying to tickle the boa can get me in trouble with him...

It's actually not that they are ticklish, they just don't really prefer us touching them. They tolerate us well, but it doesn't mean they like it.

I tell non snake people that they are ticklish so they like them a little more. I also make them look at my super friendly normal female right in the face to see how she's smiling :D. I also like to show people how strong and agile they are by making my 700ish gram snakes do "chin ups". One finger outstretched, place the joining head/neck on finger, watch them go! Don't try this with larger snakes are they are too heavy and bulky.
People seem to love those "tricks" and begin to see snakes a little differently.
