New Rack and new addition
So i got my first ball python about 2 months ago, and my addiction has already progressed to the point that i have an Animal Plastics rack. It's just a small rack (holds 3 full growns) but its a good size for me now and its already full
Anyway i just set up my rack Sunday night and then my new female spider from John Vandegrift came in this morning so i wanted to post some quick cell phone pictures. Yes i know this isn't as exciting as a 5 gene snake but im excited about it :D

I will make sure to quarantine any new addition from now on though. I know most people quarantine for at least 2-3 months and when a new snake is added to the quarantine they start the time period over. Its no worse than when somebody with lots of snakes quarantines several snakes together. I'm just gonna keep a close eye on them and hope for the best.
I can understand how that is. I had trouble quarantine my snakes originally because I kept adding to my collection every few weeks so I just reset the timer, but once you start getting a couple it's really time to say you have an established collection (even if they are still subject) and quarantine new ones in a different room. I had a scare after I got my 6th or 7th BP (I don't really remember) and I was still considering them to all be in quarantine. It turned out to be nothing, just an over active imagination, but I started quarantining all new additions in a completely different room. I realized at some point you have to draw the line. I just wanted to passed some wisdom almost learned the hard way on. Good luck with your new addition. :)

Thanks for the advice, I knew that quarantine was needed but since i didn't do it for these i might have forgotten for future ones. It's always a good reminder :)
