I have had a breeder female for 3 months now.. She has been a bit of a wheezer since i got her. Breeder said she she had always done that. But ive been watching her very close... Tonight i came home and saw this

That blueish white spot is mucus...so i picked her up.. Wiped it off.. And opened her mouth...grrrrr btw... And saw bubbles at the back of her mouth. Slight.. But they were there...

I live in a remote area with no herp vet... As i have seen some of the other posts.. I have a feeling im gonna know more then the vet will.. What are the types of medications i should be looking for..

Terms of husbandry ill get those numbers tommorow.. I dont measure humidity constantly but have since moved a hygrometer into her tub. Ill know in the AM..

Upping temps to around 94 hot and 85 cool and upping humidity to about 80 may help. But without meds it prolly won't do anything at this point. If she's had the bacteria out of control for a while a vet is going to have to treat her. Baytril and amikacin are commonly used but require a vets prescription. Even those may not kill the bacteria and that's y a vet needs to do a culture and find exactly what is making her sick and what will kill it.

And contact the breeder and tell him she's sick. He may have some meds if a vet is definitely not possible and to also give him a heads up in case any of his get sick

You can also try to get her to relax while you hold her by tail upside down. This is known to help drain the fluid out of her lungs where she will either drool it out or swallow it.

And baytril should clear it up in 2 weeks
