My new cat

I've wanted a dog for a long time, but until I bought my new place and got it livable it was out of the question. Then I started to consider that being alone for 9hrs+ a day several times a week wasn't really a good thing for a dog. The possum doesn't care. The snakes don't care. But a dog....

I decided on a cat, even though I'm not particularly a cat person. Started checking out the cats online at my local rescues. I found this:

Looked like ten miles of bad road. Well, I went to see him and the guy grew on me. He acts more like a dog than a cat. So, anyways, he came home with me and he's settled in like he's always been here. I cleaned him up a little and here he is, one day later, Buddy the Shaitan. As you may be able to see by the amount of space he takes up on my couch this guy is huge!

Awww, he looks awesome! Looks settled right in, too...like he was just waiting for you to come and take him home. "Dude...what took you so long? I been waitin' here!" :D

So far he's been awesome, except for hogging an excessive amount of my bed. He uses the litterbox faithfully, doesn't tear stuff up (being declawed might be the reason for that, though) and he's like Velcro. I leave the room and he leaves with me. I walk out onto the deck and he's right there. Doesn't squall, doesn't bother with people food, and stays off of the counter and tabletop. I've had to move a chair next to the computer so Buddy will have a place to sit. He wants to be right next to me all of the time.

Awww!! Adorable! I have three black cats lol I just love 'em. One of mine doesn't act like a cat either. Diego, likes to go on car rides and stick his head out the window. I take him to Petsmart all the time and he walks on a leash or rides in the cart. ^_^

Today we were working on "Intro to Brushing." Front half no problem, back half....well, it will take some time. :D
