Feeding Schedule to a fast and healthy weight gain?

Hey guys and gals!

What is the safest way to feed my 2 year BPs (1.1 100% Het Caramel Albino), so that they gain more weight and get up to breeding size!

They are small for being 2 year olds, due to the previous owner not taking care of them! This person just did the bare minimum to keep them alive!

So any ideas or suggestions would be great! Thanks ahead of time!:cool:

Starting in September I feed my females a small/medium rat every 5 days instead of every seven days until they refuse food or until end of december whichever comes first.

Male stay on the same schedule as usual as I want them lean.

Ok...Ive been doing that! But my female just fully shed Saturday night and refused to eat yesterday! But she is pretty small, my male of the same age is a lot bigger!

If they were not taken care of then they could take longer to get up to the magic weight to breed. I would keep them on a size appropriate weekly rat regiment. Because there is no way to gauge how quick a snake will grow in weight the only thing you can do is a good feeding schedule and hope for the best. I used to breed caramels and i found with the animals i was working with they were slow growing animals. Could be something with caramels i dont know. Or could have just been the ones i was working with. Im sure some guys have caramels that pound and look like dumb trucks but for me i didnt have luck with them putting weight on fast

My male has gained good weight...just not my female! They've both been eating good til yesterday! My female refused food cause she just she the night before!
