Pied deal not working out

I'm hoping for some advice as to what i should do now. A little over a month ago and a guy a sell rats to texts me and asks if i want to buy a breeding weight female pied from his friend for 400 dollars...well i was really broke so i told him i wish i could but im broke. 400 dollars was a great deal.
So he says that he ll see what he can do-
So later that day he says that his friend owes him a favor so hes going to trade his red tail boa that hes trying to get rid of to his friend that wants it and his friend would trade the female pied to him. He doesnt want her so he said that i could trade him $200 worth of rats for the pied since thats what his red tail was worth...Real real cool....
but like i said this was a little over a month ago. So since then ive been freezing my stock for him and its sitting in my freezer...
Everytime i try to set up a meeting for him when i get off work he bails on me...
He ll set up a time for me to meet up with him at like 9pm and then when i text him before that to verify he never answers! So hes told me several things- the first time he bailed he was fighting with his wife- other times he just doesnt answer.- granted he does go out of town a lot for his job but how hard is it to meet in the walmart parking lot or something? i mean i was even going to go drop off his rats and pick it up the pied from his place-no effort there- but no... Then he said his friend was killed...so i gave him a week or so..set up a couple more meetings- all of them fell though. I realize hes going the hard times right now but im wearing thin.. I mean ive wasted gas going back in forth to get ready for our deal..ive euthanized rats that i wouldnt have to starting building towards the 200 dollars worth of rats for him.
So im tired of trying to get this to work out. I REALLY want the pied but this is starting to not be worth it...
He has already trade for her so shes at his house...
I have brought it up that he keeps falling though,he apologizes and sets up another meeting. and im kinda worried to be upfront to him b/c i dont want to pist him off and lose the pied...
So what do i say to him now? I wanna send one more text (he only texts apparently) and then im done- ive been trying to get this pied for over a month and i am beyond frustrated....grrrr
please help....
I mean am i wrong to start getting angry? I know hes going through a lot but man.... what do ya ll think?
So what should my next text be?

his friend was getting out of breeding and needed it gone...---but thats not the point==i know the deal sounds to good to be true==i was looking for advice on what i should do from here

Yeah man, it seems to me that you are being had. I would just cut my losses and wait for him to make the next move. It ain't worth it. You did your part, above and beyond.

Leave the man alone! 4get about it. Next time he wants to talk about something make about the biz and that he needs to come down to you. Did you already give him anything?

Save up and buy a real pied from a real seller :sweeet: Maybe you can sell some of those stockpiled rats on Craigslist to get your savings started.

Ive been played around with also but this story really makes me wonna punch him for you!

No i havent given him anything. The rats our still in the freezer- will people buy frozen rats on craigslist?

My bet would be that the "pied" turnd out to be a 'het pied' and the guy is too embarrassed to admit to you that it's not the snake he thought he was getting.

I would get him on the phone and ask him outright for a pic, or to go over right then to see it. If he can't produce pictoral proof that he has a pied female breeder in his possession, I would write it off as a failed deal.

No matter if the original guy was "getting out of breeding" or not, he could easily have gotten a LOT of money for the snake, so I don't see a chance of him saying $400 for a breeder pied BP. A het for pied... or a possible het for pied yes. A visual pied breeder? No way.

Sorry. But that's the way I would guess at it.
