    Sand Boa Acting Funny?
Okay so this morning I was holding Vicious and having coffee. He seems really ghosty, so I'm guessing there is a shed in the near future, and he also didn't want his mouse today. I have read that many people will own their KSBs for years and never see them drink. I have held mine twice now to water and he will drink a little bit sometimes. But today he seemed like he wanted to dunk his head in the water. Like I said, probably shedding soon so I gave him the larger water dish so if he decides to get in and soak he can. I know they like dry conditions so I usually just have a small bowl in there for drinking.

Today when I was holding him he kept getting himself in a tight "U shape", like how pythons look if they're going to strike. We were just sitting there, not really moving around so no reason for him to get upset. Anyway, from his "U shape" he would work his way out of it and swing his head around. Then a little bit later he'd do it again. He kept doing it. Not fast, but KSBs don't generally move real fast anyway unless they're going after live prey or trying to get away. It was kind of funny and made me laugh, but I am wondering what he was trying to accomplish by doing that if you guys understand what I'm saying. I don't have it on video, but if anyone else here has experienced this you'll know what I'm talking about.

Last time he was hungry when I held him he kept rubbing his nose on me. Maybe today the "head twirl" meant, "I'm trying to shed, leave me alone!" :taz:
