    Odd Hatchling Behavior
I recently picked up a male pastel, just a little a guy.

He ate yesterday for me, a rat pink, and seems to be fine when I hold him.

But ever since I got him he's been staring up at the lid of his shoebox. I'm the kind of person who immediately jumps to the worst conclusion at any sign of odd behavior, so I'm trying not to do that.

I put him inside his hide because his neck is coiled and he looks almost like he's waiting for the lid to attack him, or maybe like he's hunting the lid. But he came back out and is staring up at the lid again.

Pictures would be most helpful. I wouldn't jump to conclusions, but if you can snap a picture of video when he's doing it we can give you a better idea if it's "normal".

Did you feed him in his shoe box? Maybe he's waiting for another pinkie to fall from the heavens and satiate his desire...

My bp does that occasionally when she's in her feeding tub, since she knows where the yum yums are going to be coming from.

I took a couple of pics, the thing is though it looks like totally normal hatchling behavior. He's just doing it *all* the time instead of just when I open his box. Will upload them soon.

Well after this post I think my new pied girl must be doing the same thing waiting for more mana (rat) to fall from the sky. She has been doing the same thing since she got here tuesday;)
