    Anybody else have this happen???
So I had a brand new baby hatch out of it's egg today. The egg, when laid, was 80 grams. The baby weighs 45 grams. Now the interesting thing is there was something left in the egg. I don't know if it was some extra yolk, or possibly a possible twin that was infertile??? I really don't know....what is everyone elses views.

    The baby girl.

The left overs in the egg.

The extra piece outside of the egg.

And cut in half just to see what was inside it.

    Any thoughts are appreciated.

I had this happen to me but what it looked like was a white soft ball. I believe this is the yolk that should have been absorbed! Hows the umbilical look like? Lay the baby in warm water in a bowl in his/her tub.

The umbilical is perfectly fine. Nothing hanging off, it's healing perfectly.

He should be good. Mine died. The water is just in case he didnt get enuff nutrition or if he's dehydrated.

Don't worry. Just leftovers. The baby looks like it has a belly full of yolk so just put moist paper towels down in its tub and let it get nice n cozy. Congrats on the babies
