    How strong are adult bp's?
I'm just curious how hard a bp can coke you around the neck.

Firstly I'd like to say that I'd highly doubt that a ball python would literally try to choke you with the intent of killing you. In my experience, whenever a ball python has tightened around my neck, it was an insecurity response because I either made a sudden loud noise with my voice or there was a fast movement nearby, etc.

That being said, I highly doubt an adult BP would be able to do any sugnificant damage to a healthy adult human (toddlers maybe, but past the age of say, 10 I don't think there would be any problems). Cause discomfort, most definitely, but I highly doubt they could do any real damage.

An adult BP could theoretically strangle a human....IF...that human had no arms or hands to unwrap it. They're not so strong that an average person couldn't pull them off.

In all my years of being a part of the BP community, and in a great deal of research...I've never found or heard of a single incident of a BP actually strangling anyone or even causing anyone to pass out. But they are strong enough to cut off circulation to the brain IF nothing were to interfere with them in the process.

LoL... If they are able to get as far as cutting of the circualtion to the brain then the person in question would have other issues to have let this happen, lol.
Like you said, if you have arms, you are safe. lmao

I'd say you would be more worried about harming the snake trying to remove it from you then you would be about the snake actually harming you once you experience an adult trying to squeeze you.

I don't think you could ever find out how strong they really are (unless you happen to be a pesky rat wandering around their cage).

A snake is basically one giant muscle. As previously stated, it could strangle you if you didn't have arms to remove it. BPs are one of the friendliest snakes around though. No worries.

Lol, I laughed at this. Seems like alot of babies have little man syndrome, I only have 2 that actually have attitude. One of them actually strikes at the movement at the TV when I hold him.
