    So if they lock??
So if they lock, for a couple weeks, on and off, am I pretty much guaranteed to get eggs? I've have read all about follicle growth, but then I read they can hold on the the sperm for years? So my het pieds locked, as well as my pastels, so can I expect follicles soon, or how exactly does this work?
    Sorry for my newbie question..

i had males lock with females last season for a few months and the females did not lay. just bc they lock up doesnt mean your female is going to go full term. shell will go when she feels shes ready to go. every female is different so when she starts follicle growth could vary between females. just keep pairing and cross your fingers and look for that ovy

What i do is let em breed and i even keep the males cycling until they just arent doin it anymore then i seperate. Even if i see ovulation i still keep the males cycling. Now about retaining sperm. Yes females can retain sperm for quite some time. Last year my buddy bred his spider albinos and they were done breeding by december early january. Nothing happened until 3 weeks ago he walked in and saw a spider albino coiled up around 7 eggs
