    Dead rats?
Have moved my "weaned" rats into a mortar tub to get them off mom.

There are a couple litters in there, so maybe 20 something little rats.

I checked on them this morning and found a dead one

Checked on them a bit ago and found another one

    What gives?

    Weaned too early or something?

They have been munching on the blocks and using a water bottle.....

How many days old are the weanlings?

Are the dead ones runty at all, any markings on their body to show they got killed by the other rats? etc.

No marks or anything, but the little buggers can get pretty rowdy with each other

    Exact age, Im not sure.

But they have had their eyes open for 2 weeks maybe?

well they should be old enough then, as long as their getting water and eating good. Maybe watch to make sure they are drinking from their bottle?
