    Thermostat probe question?
So i get my Herpstat ND and am ready to install it, im using heat cable and was wondering do i connect it to the heat cable (what tape will work) or should i keep it in a tub taped in the warm side because as of right now i have a open tub without a snake or water bowl, my rack is 3 levels with 2 tubs per level, Thank you guys for your always helpful knowledge!

I use zip tie and aluminium foil tape for heat cable

The best place for a probe is always directly tape on the heat source.

In the enclosure it can become lose because of the snake or be cool down if the snake tip is water dish over or even cool down if you BP urinate a large amount, and all those would lead to a spike in temps.

can you zip tie the probe directly to the heat cable(will it melt the probe wire?) or are zip ties only for inside the tub?

Sorry for so many questions, just wanna do it right!
