Yeah, for my first ball python I actually had a vivarium planted with live plants. I freaked out when wood lice showed up, and switched him to aspen. The prettiest cages are the biggest pain to clean, but since you just have the one snake you won't be spending much time cleaning cages anyway.

It looks quite nice the water feature looks like a pain to deal with but so are racks. Cleaning mine it the slowest and most painful (for me) of all my enclosures.

Cleaning up isnt too much of an issue for me. I work at the local pet store and do it for all the reptiles there. Also I get all my supplies at 50% discount which helps.

Besides, It seems appropriate to accomodate a sweet snake with a sweet setup.

It's beautiful! I didn't see any belly heat featured in the video though - are you providing that as well?

I'm glad I don't have to clean that either! :P

    waltah!
That's a killer enclosure for sure! As long as temps are good I don't see anything wrong with it. The upkeep will be a pain, but it seems to be worth it for you.
    Sweet looking BEL, btw. :gj:

Sometimes the effort of cleaning such an enclosure is well worth the beauty! You have done a spectacular job!

I do have to say, I am also a bit concerned about the belly heat. BPs do need that. They don't tend to bask. The lights really don't provide much benefit to the snake (although they may benefit the plants). Do you have a UTH too? How are you measuring your temps and how are you regulating your temps?

And that is a GORGEOUS bel!! If I remember correctly, this is a BLACK eyed lucy right? I love those.....
