    het albino gal finally ate
2011 girl about 60 grams refused f/t 3 straight weeks - knew she was hungry - looking a little thin so bought smallest live I could find - the little sucker eat threw the stupid box they put 'em in - my son had to find him in my trunk - at any rate, she took kinda the same attitude with him running around that she had been doing with me dangling the f/t around - basically uninterestedwith either - then outta nowhere its like something clicked and POW - she pounded it - feeling better now - try again on f/t next feed - any ideas other than heating the f/t real hot under faucet??

Just feed live. Some snakes won't take to the F/T. There is nothing wrong with feeding live, that is how it has been done forever in the wild. I know I will get flack from this from the F/T feeding people but to each their own opinion. I have never had a problem feeding live.

Before within I would wait until the animal is a little more established, it is still a very young animal and animals that are well established are generally easier to switch.

In the mean time make sure the animal is provided with optimal husbandry, small enclosure, very limited handling etc

yeah - thanks - my only problem with live is where I live their are none close - i'm a small keeper - too small to mess with mice - but if I can't switch her over - i'll work it out - check this funny story - the first stop i made the lady would not sell me a mouse for a feeder - i just told her i wanted the smallest live she had and she knew why - it was a "fancy mouse" - lol - 8 bucks - I got kinda stoked about it and pressed her so she finally sold it to me after i signed some kinda contract of sorts - ridiculous!!!!!!!!! - then i rode up the rode aways and found some regulars - still $2.50 a piece - - what i usually do is buy enough f/t when KRE comes to close city to last me - thx again
