Custom display rack

So I'm wanting to build a custom display case for my snakes. Not really sure how to go about it. Looking for some input from people that have done something like this before. Wanting to house larger snakes in the bottom for example a BCI. And in the upper enclosures I was thinking about splitting them and putting BP's. Want to use sliding glass with locks for easy access. I figured that I could use flexwatt for the heating and mounting it to the back. Would the flexwatt transfer through the wood? Not sure what to do for the interior. I know some paint can put off toxic fumes when heat is applied to them. But I want it to look really nice. And as far as the bottom of the enclosure not sure what to do there, would tile or linoleum be a good option? On the outside of the whole fixture I was thinking about using the texture bed liner paint. Would that be safe? For ventilation how many hole would you need. Want it to hold humidity good but don't want to have stagnant air. Also stumped on the size to make this. Was thinking that the lower enclosure would be inside of 48x24x16 which is like 80 gallons if my calculation are right. So splitting the uppers would make them like 40 gallons each. Is that to much space for BP's? Please help I'm going mad trying to figure this out.

If you make the stack one piece it will be VERY VERY heavy and PITA to move and heat.

Best to make each individually, notched for heat so can be stacked.

Can make them 4ftx2ftx1ft for the larger snakes. And cut them in half for the balls to get a 2x2x1 which is fine for adult females or adult males, just not babies.

When ever i think of a rack ill do it on ProDesktop8 to get a blueprint to get in my head to go off of.

I still want to make one of these for Quarantine room. Make it easier ot hold temps better being closed and wont have to keep QT room warm.

I not experienced in doing this can you explain what you mean but notched for heat.

Notched for heat is making grooves under for the heat and wires so when stacked they sit level and not on a wire. That is if your going to use Belly heat. if using radiant heat panels then all you need is drill hole for plug to run out.

What is the preferred method of heating, belly or radiant? Right now we have snake in aquariums and have so many problems getting temps right and humidity to hold. Looking to get something built get the small tweaking done and not have to worry about it.

Wood enclosures like them wont have humidity problems at all. And you can use either or, Belly heat via Flexwatt or Ultratherms or install Radiant heat Panels(expensive)

Now going with flexwatt for belly heat. Could I use one thermostat to regulate all the enclosures? Or is it better to have one for each one

you can use one thermostat if your using the same size(length/width) and wattage.

If you mix match sizes you will need different thermostats
