my opinion is that you should probably hold off until next year. 1100 grams is still under the desired weight for breeding (females at least). if you want her to gain weight in preparation, I'd suggest feeding smaller meals every 4-6 days rather than one large or "appropriately" sized feeder per week. however, just my opinion, I think you should wait until she weighs at least 1500-1600 grams "empty" (after defecation). again, I haven't attempted any breeding projects yet, but everything I've read would caution against breeding an undersized female.

    best of luck.

I feed my females every 5 days to prep them for breeding. I'm planning on breeding one of my 1100 gram females this year. At her age I don't think her weight would be too much of a factor. If she was a year old I would worry. Either she will go or she won't. If she is not ready she will reabsorb her follicles. Everyone has their own opinion on this subject. You have to experiment and see what works for you. Good Luck:)

Every 5 days is a good plan when you are trying to bulk them up. Breeding season can start whenever you want it to really. Last year I waited till December to start breeding a couple girls because they weren't quite up to weight.
