    Getting Babies to Eat
It's such a relief when your new babies have their first meal. :)

My leopard girl went nuts the moment I set the mouse down, but my spider het albino wouldn't eat until today. I always try offering them a F/T mouse hopper to start, just because watching them hunt that first mouse is so stressful for me. I'm afraid of my fragile little babies getting bitten.

Does anyone else get the "first meal jitters"?

For the first meals for most of my hatchlings are rat pinks, then i move up to fuzzies after a few meals, and they have honed their stike/coil skills some.

I prefer rat pinks as well, so much safer. Unfortunately my current litters were too big so I had to go with mice. :(
