How to make wooden Dowells snake safe?
Is there anything I can do to make some wooden dowell rods snake safe to put in my bp and carpets cages? Maybe a polyurethane coat or something similar. The dowells are made of a soft wood, not sure what kind but from what I am told soft woods are a no go for snakes. Thanks a lot for any help!

I agree, I'd go with PVC. Most likely they are made of safe wood but you don't know for sure, so I don't know if I'd risk it. Sealing it would be important though.
