    Are albinos worth getting?
I have enough money to buy a male, but I want to know if its better buying an albino than a mojave.

It all comes down to what you personally find attractive, what you might have already that you would want to breed to it, and what type of snakes you might want to produce in the future.

They're both attractive snakes. I prefer the mojaves and that is just my own personal tastes.

I'd rather have an Albino male than a Mojave male if that's what you're asking. What one fits better with your project? What are you trying to make? I was never big into Albinos but I recently saw a Pewter Albino so I am trying to shoot for some Black Pewter Albinos. I picked up a Pastel het Albino female and am getting a Black Pastel het Albino male soon. My project decided my purchases.

Well I seen many projects that looked really cool with the albinos like the spider albinos and pinstripe, and when I look at the mojave its a nice morph that can make the BEL's and jigsaws. I like the color of the albino, but I like the pattern of the mojave. So I'm having a hard time deciding.

I love albinos more than ANYTHING. And nothing beats albinos on eggs nor the brightness of a nice adult albino.

I do have some mojaves as well that are very nice.

I personally wouldn't buy either as a male unless I had some awesome females to put them with. I'd buy a double gene male instead. If it were a female I would take an albino over a mojave any day, and male as well. You need to find what fits into your project. The money spent on an animal is only worth the effort the investor is willing to put forth to obtain an objective in the long run.

I think there are many great combos both morphs have the ability to make. It's up to you to decide what is the worth the time and effort. I think making a cinnamon albino would be more of a payoff than getting a blue eyed leucistic, at the same time I would love to have both.

yeah, what are your females? If you phrased it as "is an albino female worth it", absolutely. Buying a recessive male, you gotta think about what you're pairing him to.

... unless you're not looking to breed him at all, and just want a snake for show. In which case, buy whichever one you think is prettier.

(But I will say that albinos continue to sell like hotcakes. I've stood around at reptile shows watching people drain ATMs of cash just so they could make an "impulse" purchase on an albino male. When I took my lone albino to work, the business manager threatened to put whipped cream and a cherry on him and have him for desert. People still really like albinos.)

I have normal female almost about to breed. I might buy a female right now,but I need another male. I have one pastel (being a picky eater might sell and buy another morph) and two normals. I'm not thinking about making profit or anything, I just want to buy one cool morph to add and breed in the future as an experience.

If you only have an albino male you will only get hets from breeding to a normal. If you want to breed to get hets and raise up the females to get more albinos go for it. If you want to hopefully see some visual morphs your first breeding season go with the mojave.
