    My setup. (PICS NOW)
This is my ball pythons setup, sorry not trying to double post, just keep it easier to see. Is everything right? 82 On the cool side 92 on the hot side, 50 % humidity, 1 moist hide on the cool side and another hide on the warm side, a stick, and a big bowl he can drink or soak in, along with a humidity emitter. PICS:

soaking isnt needed, if it happens then humidity is too low. just sayin.

The probe shouldn't be in the tank.

Well I probably need that size bowl anyways... is it bad if he does'nt have TONS of room? Don't they like lots of places too hide? and is the humidity emitter a bad idea? I'm at 50 percent right now I don't know if thats enough.

i have my probes on the inside of my tank. I just tape them to the bottom of the tank and hide the cords with some plants.

gives me temps under the substrate under both of my hides. I also have a ambient temp sensor in the middle of the cage. I get 78-81 on the cool side and 98 under the substrate (92 on top)

anyway.. having the probes in the tank gives me an good idea of what is going on in the tank.

Guys is 40 percent humidity bad? I have 3/4ths of the top covered with plastic, I have the water bowl, humid emitter, and a moist hide, and it's only at 40 PERCENT! Temps are fine... but is this okay I have no idea what to do to increase it to 55 ish :( What will I ever do when she shed... 75%... How. My moist hide maybe which is nice and moist at all times? I don't know.

you have a tall tank and aspen bedding nether are good for holding humidity.

these are some suggestions you could make to hopefully help IMO
you can add moss to the substrate, change to coconut husk or cypress mulch, get a smaller (shorter) tank.
Adding plants could help hold in the humidity as well.
A thick towel on the top of the tank dose the trick for me

It would be best to keep the humidity 55-75% all the time.
