    Dome question
I have to replace the fixture for my sav's heat light. I was wondering if the aluminum looking fixture were suitable for heating, or do I have to go buy the super expensive Zoo-med ones at Petsmart? Reason I ask is becuase I know Home Depot sells dome that look the same for a quarter of the price.

I've used aluminum ones from home depot with success.

Great! I don't really want to spend more than I have to.

I would assume they have just about the same heat output as the ceramic coated ones from Petsmart right?
