Stress falling?!

Im actually freaked right now. Ive had my spider bp about 2 weeks now. he was a month when i got him, was eating regularly for the breeder, and what not.
Whats got me freaking out at the moment is that he keeps 'climbing' the sides of his tank and falling over. At first i wasnt too worried, figured as he calmed down it would stop. Its been 2 weeks and while this is NOT a constant behaviour he does go through 10 - 15 minute stages where he will scale the tank and fall. hard. repeatedly. It makes my heart drop everytime and I feel like theres GOT to be something im doing wrong, or maybe that i can do to stop this. Is brain damage a possibility? Could he die or be seriously injured from this if he keeps it up? I don't know, and its freaking me out. Any and all help is welcome.

I don't think the falls inside the cage will hurt him much, but I would be worried about "spider behavior", which is neurological ... he should still be fine. Maybe provide some kind of cushion in there, extra paper towels or something.

new owners sometimes miss thing in the husbandry, so the question has to be asked whats his enclosure like (temps,water,bedding, hides)?

I should have added more information about the tank last night :P. its a 10gal glass aquarium, two small comercial rock hides ( hot hide sitting at 89-92 and cool hide at78-82), his bedding is repti-bark, and he has constant supply of water in his dish that i change every other day (unless hes gotten bedding in it then i change it again).
I knew about spiders and the head wobble, but id never heard of them face planting like this. I couldnt find the answers I was looking for anywhere else, so I thought Id ask here.

I have a 2 month old spider and a 3 month old normal that do that almost every night. Even more so in the couple days leading up to feeding day when they are more active than after they have just eaten. My enclosure is similar to yours except I use newspaper for substrate and I kinda cringe every time I hear the thump.

I've tried thinking of ways to stop it. One being to drill a hole for the thermostat probe wire to enter at the base instead of coming down from the lid. That's really the only way mine can get up there in the first place. I've also added a few fake plants to cushion their falls a little and it seems to help a little.

Other than that I'm thinking if it hurts them enough for them to feel pain they'll stop. They probably fall in the wild from higher than that. I've heard they would probably calm down after a few weeks of getting comfortable.

Its good to know I'm not the only one going through this! He seems to be calming down, and spending more time chilling out in his hides. Maybe all he needs is time, and maybe im just being a crazy 'new mom'? lol

My bee does the same thing. She did it for a week when I first got her and now doing it again that I moved. Seems to be common around here.

My normal girl does this too. She mainly does it about 2 days before a scheduled feed. Then once she's fed she stops doing it.
