    Average Pyxie Frog Price's
I just picked up a big female for $75 today at the expo. I thought that was a slamming deal, so I jumped on it. I'm not new to the species but I am new to buying adults. Whats the going rate for adults of each sex j.w?

Retail for small unsexable ones seems to be $50, less at shows. A little over a year ago it was really hard to find any young'ns, and I saw adult males going for as much as $250.

They really just tend to sell based on size, I'm sure you paid a fair pirce!

P.S. pics or this thread is worthless :P

    hahaha I'll get on that!!

I just checked fauna and kingsnake. I couldn't find any adults going for anything less then 200 bucks firm! I saw a male going for 300!! Seems like a sweeeeeeet deal!! Cool frog regardless, and honestly the mystery behind the breeding of these guys intrigues me a lot! Not to mention the voracious appetite lol!

I know I shouldn't have her on moss, but I had it lying around and didn't feel like going to petco today...I got her at the last second at White Plains, and all the supply vendors we're packed up and moving out. Sorry for the crappy pictures, but she's going nuts right now! She won't sit still, and is jumping every two seconds...I'm hoping to wake up with her burrowed in nice and deep...I keep hearing her clunking into the walls lol! Really annoying because she's in my bedroom at the moment!!

Also, we decided to name her Patty!!

Really the only way to reliably breed them is with hormone injections, something that only a handful of people know how to do right. They supply the entire country's pyxies. Luckily they are very prolific when a female produces eggs.

    WOW! Really?

So wait, they inject sperm or no? And how do they obtain the hormones?

Sounds intensive. I hear doing it naturally is next to impossible and considered quite an accomplishment. Hmmm...I feel like I saw something on TV about African Bullfrogs breeding. I want to watch it now lol. Do you know of anyone who can breed them without the injections?
