    What a total BUST!
Oh man, what a bust... sometimes things in the breeding world just don't go the way they should.

I had purchaed an 08 female albino that I raised from a hatchling... bought her at a show. In 09 I got an 08 male albino for the sole purpose of breeding with her. I paired them the winter of 2009 together and nothing happened. she was big enough but I guess just not ready...

So I paired them again in winter of 2010 and early in the season they locked up many times. She went off feed. They locked up a few more times, then all of a sudden they STOPPED locking up. No matter what I tried I didn't witness another lock... then a few weeks later she started feeding again. :( At that point, totally frustrated, I continued to rotate the albino male... and also started rotating in my male cinny and male spider. Never did see the albino lock again... but of course both the cinny and spider did every time.

    then this happened:

Once the eggs were in the incubator, I regrouped and made some major changes to my breeding plans. I made several large trades, and to make a long story short, both the Female and the Male albino are now gone. But at least I still had my albino eggs that were hopefully albino! If not I would at least have spider or cinnamon 100% het albino babies....

Today... a total f'n bust. The first egg pipped and it was a normal head. Talk about total dissapointment. I ripped the rest of the eggs a little and sure enough no albinos. To add insult to injury, from what I can see (I only ripped small holes like I always do... so I can't really identify anything for sure) not only are none of them albinos, but it looks like they are ALL normals (No cinny or Albinos) !!!!

How depressing is that? raising albinos from hatchlings just trying to make a hatchling. trading them off and in the end ending up with what looks like 6 normal het albinos. :(

Oh no.... Not one? Holy crap. There's gotta be something else in those eggs. I get no albinos. But all normals? Ouchie
Next season is approaching fast... Try try again.

At least you know they're all het albino?

I really hope that once they emerge, you've got something that just looked normal through the little peep hole in the egg.

    Sorry. It blows.

The cinnamon probably did the job. That would explain the head looking like a normal. Their probably all cinnamon het albino, because albino x alnino = albino

:( I could cry right now I am so frustrated! 100% normal het albinos... the worst possible outcome (next to nothing at all of course)

I need to change my avitar. I hate that snake! I am just glad they are both out of my collection... lol maybe it will help heal my scars.

    lol, I love that saying.
Sorry for the bad luck Mike but I'm pretty sure when you sold the adults in the back of your mind you knew you were taking a gamble, sadly the gamble didn't pay off :(

Your assumption is probably correct, except there is no cinny's, just het albino's.

i feel your pain! - earlier in the year i got 3x 'poor odds' clutches, back-to-back

spider het pied x pied - 7 eggs - no pieds or spieds
    lesser/enchi x normal - 7 eggs - 7 normals
    pin x normal - 10 eggs - 1 pin, 9 normals

since then, the odds have been coming back to me

    your odds WILL even ;)

Bummer man, maybe you need to burn some incense and offer a rodent(f/t) or two to appease the odds gods. Better luck on future clutches.
