    UTH rec?
I know most things are not made with equal quality. So with that said, what is a good UTH pad that is reliable, safe, and gives off good heat? What should I avoid?

    Thanks:)

I've heard the one from Big Apple Herp is good. I use flexwatt, and a small ZooMed one. With the adhesive ones, you just have to be extra careful when removing them, if you bend them at all it can cause a short inside it and uneven heat. IMO flexwatt is the best, and it's cheaper than most UTHs. Either way you go...you NEED a thermostat.

I have a ZooMed 10-20 gallon UTH and instead of sticking it to the bottom of the tank I cut a piece of tinfoil out, stuck that to the UTH and slid it under the cage. seems to work fine for me so far.

If you want to go with a good UTH go with UltraTherms, reliable and long lasting and of course remember that like with any heat source a equally reliable thermostat is necessary.
