Possible scale rot?

Gosh, I've been having such bad luck lately :( I came home tonight to find a scale missing on the top of my Spiders head. Is this scale rot? I can't seem to figure out how it would be on TOP of the head. Could it be a humidity issue? :confused: I've been trying to keep the temps at 80 ambient, 90 hot side, 50% humidity. Sorry for the clarity, but you can clearly see where the missing scale is.

My Mojave had that issue a few months ago. I'm not sure how it got that way. I think he might have rubbed it off in his enclosure. It is hardly noticable now. It has gotten better with every shed. Hopefully someone else will chime in that knows more than I do.

It isn't a great photo hard to see clearly but I personally have never heard of scale rot on the dorsal (back not belly) side. It looks more like an abrasion or scrape. Is it just missing a few scales? or a cut into or through the skin?

If it is a few scales I'd not worry if isn't polysporin regular with no pain killers and a clean (newspaper) substrate enclosure until it heals and keep a close eye on it a vet might not be out of the question if it looks at all deep.

Yep that looks more like it was scraped on something inside the enclosure.

It looks like a simple scrape, possibly rubbed off in the enclosure. Just keep in eye on it and keep his enclosure clean.
